In a thrilling display of skill and determination, our girls' varsity volleyball team recently
competed in the Super APAC tournament held at our home grounds. Out of 12 competitive
schools, our Eagles soared to an impressive 3rd place finish, showcasing their resilience
and teamwork throughout the tournament.
The vibrant atmosphere was overflowing with school spirit- the steady banging of drums,
the excited shrieks resonating off the bleachers- every fellow Eagle was relentlessly
cheering on our girls. The overwhelming support fueled our varsity volleyball team as they
battled their way to a podium finish: a true testament to the passion of SAS.
For the prestigious bronze medal, our girls fought a grueling match against Concordia. The
girls absolutely dominated the first two sets, smashing and powering through every point.
As the tension mounted, they fell just short to fierce opposition in the two subsequent sets.
With both teams tied at two sets, the final points were more important than ever.
In a display of unwavering determination and grit, our girls pushed through the nerve
wracking final set: focusing on every point, encouraging each other, celebrating each small
victory. They steadily gained a convincing lead and ultimately clutched victory. The gym
was exploding with heartfelt cheers and applause as they secured their well-deserved 3rd
place finish.
The energy and excitement in the gym that day were unparalleled, a true reflection of the
unity and pride within our school community. The girls' remarkable performance not only
showcased their athletic prowess but also served as a beacon of inspiration for all of us.
We are incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to more thrilling moments
ahead.
